Moving on to ESF Year One Primary Schools
Starting from 2021/22, ESF kindergarten children joining K1 from August 2020, who can benefit from a mainstream, English medium curriculum, will be guaranteed a Year 1 place at an ESF school.
There is no interview process for children moving from an ESF Kindergarten to an ESF Primary school. Instead teachers in the Primary schools will visit the Kindergarten children at the Kindergarten to begin getting to know them. They will also collaborate with the Kindergarten teachers on a handover process to pass information about the child to the new school to help them transition smoothly.
In addition, the children will have the opportunity to visit their new Primary school before commencing in August.
