Although we are not governed by the statutory holidays for schools, we follow the ESF schools calendar. During every year we have 5 teacher training days built into the calendar. This is in addition to the contact days with children. These CPD days are added onto our calendar not removed from the contact days with children.

Please find the school calendar for Abacus Calendar for 2018-2019  here. We also now have the Abacus Calendar for 2019-2020 available here.

ESF Kindergarten – All Through to Year 1 ESF Schools

Many of you will have already seen the announcement by ESF regarding K-13 All Through System. For those of you who didn’t this can be found here.

ESF News – K-13 All Through

Last year ESF implemented changes to the Primary admissions system, K2 ESF Kindergarten children underwent a transition process to move from ESF Kindergarten to Primary School, this replaced the formal interview to attend ESF Primary. However, there was still no guarantee of a place and the priority system still meant that ESF Kindergarten children were behind Siblings and Alumni in terms of a place.

For children already in the kindergarten or those joining us in August 2019 this system will continue

ESF have now announced that children joining an ESF Kindergarten from 2020 will be guaranteed a place at an ESF school provided they require a mainstream place. There will be no interview process and the old priority system will be replaced with Kindergarten children being allocated places ahead of the other priority groups.
