Congratulations

Congratulations to Danielle Evans our K2 English class teacher who became engaged over the Easter holidays.
We wish Danielle and Tom every happiness for their future together.

Principal’s Message

Welcome back to Term 3 everyone, we hope you had a lovely holiday and are well rested. It was lovely to see the children returning to school so confidently and happily this morning.
This will be a busy term for us as we move through the last Units of Inquiry with our children and prepare for our IBO evaluation visit in late May.
We look forward to working with you and your children this term.

Science and Drama Day 5th May

As part of the new unit the K1 children will be learning about a range of science skills and concepts such as floating and sinking, forces, materials and their properties and how materials change with heating and cooling. It is traditional for us to have a special science day at the beginning of this unit where children rotate around a series of science activities.
Similarly as a provocation for the K2 story sharing unit the K2 children will rotate around a series of story telling activities.
For each event we will need a small number of parents to help us move children around the activities and to run a science or story activity. Please contact your class teacher if you are able to help.

Snowy the Rabbit

Snowy the rescue rabbit is now in school during the days. A huge thank-you to Logan’s Dad for building the house and Tsit Hei’s parents for donating the hutch.
Snowy is settling in to her new day time home and each class will take a turn to be responsible for her for a week.

Hats

Please can you make sure all children have a hat in their bag now the weather is getting warmer and that it is named if you want to get it back! We are having a competition between the K2 classes as to which class has the most children with a hat. This will provide a chance for the children to do some data handling, whilst collecting the information and presenting it.
