Internet Safety Workshop for Parents

Kevin Tibble the ESF Primary learning technology advisor ran an internet safety talk for parents. Please find the powerpoint here, if you were unable to attend.

Leaving Abacus

Please be reminded that you need to give two months notice if your child is leaving Abacus in order for school fees section to return your debenture. We would be really grateful to know as soon as possible if your child is leaving at the end of K1. It helps us plan for next year. If your child is in K2 and leaving at the end of K2 you do not need to notify us, you will just be asked to return your debenture certificate and our school fees section will refund your debenture money.

We would also be grateful if you could send us an email if your child is not going on to an ESF school to help us track where the children go for their Primary education.

Sports Day

Our sports day will be held on Wednesday. The AM session is 8.30am-10.45am and the PM session 12.30pm- 2.45pm.
In case of inclement weather the sports day will be cancelled and regular kindergarten sessions will be held.

The sports day will take place at Abacus, with children rotating around a variety of sporting activities. Children will need to be accompanied by an adult, however, if you are unable to attend please let your child’s teacher know and we will make provision for your child to be accompanied by one of our staff.

Please complete this google form to let us know who will be attending and whether your child will take the bus home.

Children do not need to wear school uniform to sports day, they should wear comfortable clothes for sporting activities.

We advise you to use public transport or taxi to attend sports day as our car parking is very limited.

Reporting Illness

Please let us know if your child is sick with hand foot and mouth, scarlet fever or influenza. This enables us to notify other parents so that they can be vigilant with their children. Additionally we have to report any outbreaks to the Centre for Health Protection, so this helps monitor how many children are off with a particular illness.
